Step-by-Step Guide to Admission Requirements at Lancaster University

The prerequisites for each course are detailed on their course pages. A level grades and a few other more well recognised credentials are used to assign them. Rather than using similar UCAS tariff points, they base their offers on real grades. The equivalent of three complete A levels is what we normally anticipate. GCSE topics are also required for several of their courses.

Climate change on crop productivity

Distinguished Professor of Crop Sciences is Professor Steve Long. He is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society. He holds appointments at the University of Illinois and the Environment Centre at Lancaster University. In addition to addressing the impact of climate change on crop productivity, he employs experimental and computational methods to increase photosynthetic efficiency. Since 2005, he has been acknowledged annually as a highly cited researcher in the field of plant and animal science.
