The below information is required while
completing the university application :
Credit Requirement:
Minimum of 120 credit hours needed for graduation.
Major Requirement:
Completion of an approved major program of study (40–60 credits depending on the major).
General Education / Core Curriculum (new curriculum called Foundations, Inquiry, and Practice – FIP):
Expository Writing requirement.
Quantitative Reasoning requirement.
Interdisciplinary & Cultural Perspectives courses.
Global Cultural Perspectives and Cultural Diversity requirement.
Applied Learning Experience (internship, research, service learning, study abroad, etc.).
Grade Point Average (GPA):
A minimum 2.0 GPA (C average) overall and in the major.
Residency Requirement:
At least 60 credits must be earned at Skidmore College, with the final year usually in residence.
