2010 saw Vânia Baptista graduate from the University of Algarve with a degree in marine biology. In 2012, she earned an M.Sc. in Marine Sciences, Marine Resources with a focus on Marine Biology and Ecology from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of Porto. In 2019, she finished her Ph.D. in Marine, Earth and Environmental Sciences with a focus on Marine Ecology from the University of Algarve. She has authored four first-author publications, twelve peer-reviewed articles, and a book chapter in the past few years.
