The below information is required while
completing the university application :
1. Academic Preparation:
• High School Coursework: Applicants are expected to have completed the following high school courses:
• English: 4 years
• Mathematics: 3 years
• Social Science: 3 years
• Natural Science: 3 years
• Electives: 4 years
2. Grade Point Average (GPA):
• A strong academic record is essential. The average unweighted GPA of admitted students is approximately 3.9 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Standardized Test Scores:
• SAT or ACT: UW–Madison has a test-optional policy through the 2024 admissions cycle. For those who choose to submit scores, the middle 50% ranges are:
• SAT: 1350 to 1510
• ACT: 28 to 32
4. Application Materials:
• Application Form: Submit through the Common Application or the Universities of Wisconsin System Application.
• Application Fee: $60
• Essays: Two essays are required to understand more about the applicant beyond academic achievements.
