Edgewood College is a private, co-educational liberal arts institution that was established in 1927 and is located in the city of Madison overlooking the shores of Lake Wingra. The other campus is located on Madison’s West side which is near Greenway Station.
Edgewood offers more than 60 undergraduate and 27 graduate programs, as well as individualized undergraduate programs. The most popular majors at Edgewood College include: Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse; Business/Commerce; Psychology; Biology/Biological Sciences; and Business Administration and Management. The college also offers international study and internships programs. It utilizes a semester based academic calendar.
The total student population at the Edgewood College is more than 2,600 of which over 1,800 are enrolled in undergraduate programs. It has a student to faculty ratio of 10:1 and the acceptance rate of 78%.
Edgewood belongs to over 30 associations and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Its business program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs and its nursing program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Edgewood provides collaborative program option for students who want to take classes that apply to their major through the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
