Technical University of Denmark is a public university which was established in the year 1829. The university is located in Kongens Lyngby, north of Copenhagen, Denmark and is ranked among Europe's leading engineering institutions. The university has three campuses Lyngby Campus (main campus), Ballerup Campus, and the Riso Campus.
Technical University of Denmark comprises twenty-six departments of education, some of them are: Department of Mathematics, Department of Photonics Engineering, Department of Micro-and Nanotechnology, Department of Transport, Department of Chemistry, Department of Electrical Engineering, and many more. The university also has around nineteen Research Centres, such as: Arctic Technology Centre, Center for Facilities Management, Center for Biological Sequence Analysis – chair Søren Brunak, Center for Information and Communication Technologies, Center for Microbial Biotechnology, Center for Phase Equilibria and Separation Processes, Center for Technology, Economics and Management, Center for Traffic and Transport, and many more.
