The Gonzaga Medal

A graduating senior who best demonstrates the virtues of refinement, dignity, integrity, and genuine care for others is given the Gonzaga Medal. The honor is given in recognition of OSU Sister M. Gonzaga Haessly. Sister Gonzaga had been with the College since 1922 and had been an Ursuline nun for 70 years. Alumni recall her as a person who personified Ursuline College's authentic character. She was a scholar, administrator, teacher, and most importantly, a friend. She was also a devout woman. Ursuline College staff, professors, administration, and other students recommend graduating students.

The Amadeus Rappe

Every year, an exceptional graduate of Ursuline College or St. John College receives the Amadeus Rappe Outstanding Alumna Award, which was created by the Alumnae Association in 1971, Ursuline College's centennial year. The Ursuline Sisters, who established Ursuline College, are honored with this prize for their perseverance. The Ursuline St. John Alumnae Association's Alumnae Recognition Committee will select the recipient of the Amadeus Rappe Outstanding Alumna Award.
