The below information is required while
completing the university application :
1. Academic Excellence: Applicants are expected to have a distinguished academic record. While Cornell does not specify a minimum GPA, successful candidates often graduate at or near the top of their class. The university recommends that students undertake a rigorous high school curriculum, including 16 units of study with the following distribution:
• English: 4 units
• Mathematics: 4 units (including pre-calculus or calculus, depending on the intended major)
• Science: 3 to 4 units (including biology, chemistry, and physics, as specified by the chosen college)
• Foreign Language: 3 units
• Other Subjects: 2 units in social studies and 1 unit in the arts

2. Standardized Test Scores: Cornell has adopted a test-optional policy for applicants in the 2025 admission cycle. However, for those who choose to submit standardized test scores, competitive applicants often present:

• ACT: Composite scores between 33 and 35
