Joohui Im, a design student at KPU’s Wilson School of Design, developed gaming headphones incorporating electroencephalogram (EEG) technology to monitor brainwave activity during gameplay. Targeted at youth aged 13 to 25, these headphones aim to promote responsible gaming habits by alerting users with visual and auditory signals when imbalanced brainwaves are detected. The design was part of Im’s capstone project, supported by a Student Research and Innovation Grant.
