1. Applicant Categories:
• High School Graduates: Applicants who have completed secondary education.
• Transfer Students: Applicants with at least 9 credits from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Mature Applicants: Individuals aged 19 or older on the first day of the term.
• Aboriginal Applicants: Individuals seeking consideration through the Aboriginal Admissions Committee.
2. English Proficiency:
• All applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency. This can be achieved through various means, such as completing specific high school courses, recognized standardized tests, or previous post-secondary education in English.
3. Program-Specific Requirements:
• Some programs may have additional admission criteria, including prerequisite courses, portfolios, or interviews. Applicants should review the specific requirements for their intended program.

Ken Puls, a 1998 KPU graduate with a diploma in accounting and general studies, was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award for his significant contributions in the field of accounting and as an Excel expert.

Joohui Im, a design student at KPU’s Wilson School of Design, developed gaming headphones incorporating electroencephalogram (EEG) technology to monitor brainwave activity during gameplay. Targeted at youth aged 13 to 25, these headphones aim to promote responsible gaming habits by alerting users with visual and auditory signals when imbalanced brainwaves are detected. The design was part of Im’s capstone project, supported by a Student Research and Innovation Grant.
