APU's collaboration with De Montfort University (DMU) improves teaching and learning opportunities as well as job chances by allowing students to get Dual Awards, which are distinct degree credentials from each university. The UK Quality Assurance Agency's (QAA) recognised collaboration allows the APU-DMU Dual Degree Programs to be offered in compliance with the QAA UK Quality Code for Higher Education for the Assurance of Academic Quality and Standards in Higher Education.
  • Daly College Business School, India : An independent institution, Daly College Business School (DCBS) was founded in 1998 as a logical progression of the esteemed Daly College, a public school that was established in 1882. Since 1998, DCBS has collaborated with De Montfort University to offer an undergraduate business management degree. The school's goal is to develop future leaders and entrepreneurs by offering top-notch business and management programs. Students pursuing a degree in business management attend DCBS for the first two years of this three-year program before transferring to DMU for their final year. The All India Council of Technical Education in India, a regulatory approving body, has legally authorised this course.

Development of affordable, environmentally friendly prosthetic limbs.

Yogeshvaran (Yogesh) Nagarajan, a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering, has received the first-ever Gold Medal for DMU in STEM for BRITAIN 23, a House of Commons poster competition. In addition, he won a £1,500 reward for winning the engineering category, outperforming 29 other universities in the UK. Working with Dr. Karthikeyan Kandan, an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at DMU, who invented the world-famous technique of repurposing plastic bottles to create prosthetic sockets, Yogesh has contributed to the development of affordable, environmentally friendly prosthetic limbs.
