Admission requirements for the Master in Oral Health Sciences at ACTA—no fluff, just the essentials:
Relevant Master’s Degree
You must hold a (non-EU or EU) Master’s degree in Dentistry recognized under Dutch law to qualify for the program.
BIG Registration (Dutch Dentist License)
You don’t need it at the time of application, but you must obtain BIG registration (the official Dutch license to practice dentistry) before starting the program or working at ACTA.
Clinical Work Experience—Minimum 1 Year
You must have at least one year of practice in general dentistry after completing your dental degree.
Language Proficiency in English and Dutch
Since the program is taught in English, you must show English proficiency (e.g., IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 92, or Cambridge Advanced A/B). Additionally, you need sufficient Dutch skills (usually B2/C1) to conduct patient interactions and obtain BIG registration.
Mandatory Supporting Documents
The application must include:
A CV
A motivation letter
At least 2 letters of recommendation, sent directly by referees
Vaccination proof for Hepatitis B and titer results
Current Reanimation & AED certificate (≤2 years old)
A Radiology certificate (≤4 years old)
Selective Intake and Interviews
Admission is competitive. After initial screening, candidates may be invited for one or more interviews in late January or February. Final selection results are typically communicated by the end of February.
