​Established in July 2004, the Applied Science University (ASU) is one of Bahrain's first private universities, aiming to support the nation's economic and social development through diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In September 2013, ASU relocated to a new 24,000 sq. meters campus in Al Ekir, designed to accommodate 6,300 students.
