1.    Academic Preparation:

    •    High School Coursework: Applicants should have completed the following core courses:

    •    4 years of mathematics

    •    4 years of English (non-ESL/ELL)

    •    3 years of laboratory sciences (including biology, chemistry, earth science, integrated sciences, or physics)

    •    2 years of social sciences (including 1 year of American history)

    •    2 years of the same second language

    •    1 year of fine arts or 1 year of career and technical education

    2.    Grade Point Average (GPA):

    •    A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (a “B” average) is required in these core competencies. The average GPA of admitted first-year students is approximately 3.54.

    3.    Standardized Test Scores:

    •    ASU does not require SAT or ACT scores for admission. However, submitting these scores can assist with course placement and eligibility for certain scholarships.

    4.    English Language Proficiency (for non-native English speakers):

    •    Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through standardized tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE. Specific score requirements may vary by program.
