Augustana College Campus is based in Rock Island, Illinois. The campus has one of the significant buildings, the Old Main Building. The building was also listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The other necessary buildings on campus are the Robert A. and Patricia K. Hanson Hall of Science and Peter J. Lindberg, M.D., Center for Health and Human Performance. The campus also has a residential complex comprising all the residential halls available. The campus also has the Fryxell Geology Museum. This museum is famous for its outstanding collections of rocks, minerals, and even dinosaurs.

The Fryxell Geology Museum at Augustana College houses an impressive 22-foot-long skeleton of a Cryolophosaurus, a large crested carnivorous dinosaur discovered in Antarctica in 1991 by Augustana paleontologist Dr. William R. Hammer. The museum, named after geologist Fritiof Fryxell, features a rich collection of fossils, minerals, and educational exhibits, making it a standout geological resource.
Faculty members are involved in quantum research and discovery, and they also involve students in their research. Dr. Jim van Howe published research accelerating single-photon detection systems, and Dr. Cecilia Vogel established an entangled-photon setup in the campus laser lab.
