Baku Slavic University History

Baku Slavic University is a public research university established in Baku, Azerbaijan. The University was founded in the year 1946. The University was initially started as a state institute of teachers by the Parliament of Azerbaijan in order to render higher education in the Kurdistan region. It initially started with a very small number of students, presently the University is catering several students. The University is known for its course in Elementary teacher training and languages.

Baku Slavic University is composed of five faculties and two departments. It offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Applied Sciences, Pedagogy, Philologists, Linguistics, Elementary teaching, Information Sciences, Liberal Arts, Technology, and many more. The University has many international affiliations with many countries like Ukraine, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria and France. It is a member of Caucasuss University Association.
