Bauman Moscow State Technical University also known as BMSTU was established in the year 1830 by Emperor Nicholas I as Moscow Craft School. In 1868, the school was renamed to Imperial Moscow Technical School eventually being granted university status in 1989 and renamed to Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
