Beihang University History

Beihang University also known as Beihang or BUAA is a public research university located in Beijing, China. The university was established in 1952 as Beijing Institute of Aeronautics which was later changed to Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1988. The university adopted is the present name in 2002 but retained its older name.

Beihang University offers 59 programs at the undergraduate level, 38 at the graduate level and 21 doctoral degrees. There are 27 schools offering 10 major disciplines specifically in sciences, engineering, technology, and hard sciences.
