Bournemouth University has two campuses that are – Talbot campus – it is located at Fern Barrow on the Poole side of the boundary with Bournemouth. You automatically join the Bournemouth University Students' Union when you first start working there. SUBU is a student-run organisation that aims to improve your experience. It gives you support when you need it, helps you find activities to do, makes friends, and makes you feel heard. You are free to participate as much or as little as you choose. In an effort to make your stay at BU as enjoyable as possible, SUBU provides hundreds of unique opportunities, events, campaigns, and services. Specifically, there are more than 80 clubs and societies to choose from. Additionally, SUBU can assist you in creating your own if there isn't one that reflects your interests. The Old Fire Station, the union's very own nightclub, offers rooms for club and society events. If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, try Dylan's Bar & Kitchen on Talbot Campus. With all proceeds going back to SUBU, the Student Shop, located on Talbot, offers a way to get refreshments, merchandise, and study aids on campus. While attending BU, you can participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities in addition to everything that SUBU has to offer. They're an excellent chance to take a break from your studies and meet other students who share your interests. They have something for everyone, regardless of your enthusiasm for sports, the arts, or both. One of the smaller lodging complexes is Corfe House. With 308 students spread across eight floors, it provides residents with a wonderful sense of community. About 500 undergraduate students live in Cranborne House, a vibrant housing complex on the Lansdowne Campus with a strong sense of community. There are 60 postgraduate students and 530 first-year undergraduate students living in the lively community of Dorchester House. Lyme Regis House is situated in the core of our Lansdowne Campus, close to the main train station, the beach, and Bournemouth town centre. Okeford House, which has just 95 occupants overall, provides housing only for postgraduate students. Purbeck House is a welcoming housing complex that houses about 500 undergraduate students.
