Broward College North Campus History

Broward College North Campus is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The college is a public college that was founded in the year 1959 as a Junior College. It started as a college that would offer two years program so that students of Florida can complete their undergraduate courses or finish their technical programs. The first President of the college was Joe B. Rushing. In 1960, the Junior College commenced its first class which had around 700 students. Over the period of time, the college grew and expanded and added more of its campuses. The South Campus of Broward College started in 1972 and the North Campus of the college started in 1978. The college opened its various centers to benefit a large number of students. The motive of Broward College North Campus was to provide the best education to the whole community of Florida. The college today in total, including all of its campuses has around 68,000 students and more than 2000 faculties across its campuses.

Broward College has three of its campuses and many centers. The central campus of the college is named A. Hugh Adams Central Campus. This campus is in Davie and is spread across around 150 acres. The campus comprises of a library, fine arts theatre, gym, concert hall, and many others. The South Campus of the college is named the Judson A. Samuels. The campus is spread across 130 acres and is home to the aviation institute of the college. There is a library, fitness center, academic buildings, and many others. The last campus is the North Campus which is in Coconut Creek. This campus has an auditorium, library, Citrix IT academy, library, and many others. The college other than its campuses also has educational centers like Willis Holcombe Center, Institute for Economic Development, Weston Center, Broward College Maroone Automotive Training Center at Miramar, Tigertail Lake Center, Ecuador International Center, Peru International Center, Sri Lanka International Center, and Vietnam International Center.

Broward College North Campus Visa and Immigration

International students applying to Broward College North Campus are eligible for both F1 and J1 Visa depending on the course they have applied for. They can apply for Visa once the university confirms their admission. Once their admission is accepted by the university, they can then pay the SEVIS Fee. After receiving the fee, they can apply for a Visa appointment in their home country.
