Brunel University Sports and fitness-
Brunel has a gym, spa, and running track, along with professional training and medical facilities. There is an on-campus pharmacy, a shop, one bar called Locos, a nightclub called Venue, and a café, "1966", named after the year of the university's founding.

Brunel has Health Clubs for the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Students. Brunel provides a Student Health Guide to all new students that gives much information and guidance, along with details on the range of support and services available, to improve your health and wellbeing.
Brunel also provides Medical Centre: Students living on campus can now register online for the Medical Centre. The Medical Centre also provides appointment service for students which helps them book multiple appointments at different stages of lengthy medical treatment, such as surgery, and not be limited to the old drop-in hours.

Brunel's £250 million campus redevelopment program includes refurbishing of existing halls and building new Isambard Complex. There are now 34 self-catering halls of residence on-campus with a total of 4,549 rooms, including studio flats for cohabiting couples. Rooms are available for undergraduates, postgraduates, students with disabilities, and cohabiting couples. All rooms have network access.

1. Sports Scholarship
The Sports scholarship is awarded to all applicants who have met the academic requirements for a course and subsequently been given a conditional or unconditional place at Brunel University London. Also, an applicant should demonstrate sporting achievement at junior international level or equivalent in one of the priority sports such as Athletics, Netball, Rugby, Basketball & Futsal or evidence of a top 10 age ranking within their chosen sport.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
The scholarship offers exclusive benefits that focus on access to great training facilities as well as support facilities all available on campus and benefits those students from a world-class performance level competing at an international level through to English Schools Champions.
They offer following Sport Scholarships tiers for team sports:
- Students participating at major international competitions at a Senior level will be awarded Gold Sport Scholarship
- Students participating at junior international competitions or equivalent will be awarded Silver Sport Scholarship
- Students participating at a national level or national ranking competition will be Bronze Bursary Award.
Students competing in University’s priority sports such as Athletics, Netball, Rugby, Basketball and Futsal will be given priority for funding.
Also, other sports include Archery, Badminton, Canoeing/Rowing, Cycling, Women's Football, Golf, Hockey, Judo, Squash, Swimming, Table tennis, Tennis, Triathlon, Olympic wrestling and Olympic weightlifting will be considered.
Individual Sports Scholarship Awards
- Students competing in individual sport, such as Athletics, will receive an initial Sports Scholarship award of £200.
- There are financial rewards linked to performances at the BUCS Championships throughout the year and there will be no other cash awards available through the course of the academic year.
- The bulk of your scholarship is attached to successful performances at the BUCS championships as detailed below.
- Gold Medal - £1000
- Silver Medal - £750
- Bronze Medal - £500

2. PGCE Access Bursary
The PGCE Access Bursary is awarded to the full time Home fee paying students commencing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Primary Education or Secondary Education at Brunel University London.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant:
- Should have an offer to pursue full time PGCE Primary or PGCE Secondary Education starting in September. It also includes the offer made through Clearing and Adjustment.
- Should commence the course in the upcoming academic year and should have met all offer conditions and firmly accepted the place.
- Should be assessed as a Home fee payer. Those who unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information they have provided in their application form to assess fee status against regulations set by the UK government.
- Should be a resident in the UK that includes those living in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.
Should have at least one of the following under-represented criteria:
- Resident in a ‘Low Participation Neighbourhood’ as defined in the ‘Eligibility Definitions’ below
- Aged 25 or over by the course start date
- Disabled (including dyslexia)
Proof of Eligibility:
- Should submit the evidence disability and age, data will be collected from the UCAS/UTT application forms.
- Should submit the evidence ‘Low participation neighborhood’ (POLAR 4, QUINTILE 1 and 2)’, residential postcode data will be collected from the UCAS/UTT/Brunel application forms.
How to Apply:
Based on the information supplied in their course application all students will be considered for the bursary automatically. There is no separate application; Awards will be made by the Scholarship Allocation Panel in early September.
