Canterbury Christ Church University has a modern campus located in the towns of Canterbury, Turnbridge Wells, and Chatham in Kent, England with the Canterbury campus serving as the primary campus of the university with major academic departments, administrative headquarters, faculty offices, and student services. The campus offers a range of student centric facilities including technology enabled classrooms and lecture halls, sports complexes, student lounges and common rooms, well-equipped research and engineering laboratories, multimedia and computing facilities, libraries, halls of residence, student support services, and eating and dining options. The Verena Holmes Building, which opened in January 2021, serves as a focal point for creative and dynamic teaching and learning methods. A new heart to their North Holmes Campus and connections between the University's main buildings are created by the building shape, which alludes to the visual link between St Martin's Church and Canterbury Cathedral above St Augustine's Abbey. Verena Holmes offers a diverse array of courses that have been created in collaboration with industry to foster creativity and fresh talent. Their new creative arts facility, named for Daphne Oram, a lecturer here in the 1980s and co-founder of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, encourages and supports the upcoming generation of artists. By revealing portions of the original St. Augustine's Abbey wall beneath a glass floor, the striking design honours the campus's historic foundations. The newest digital tools are installed in naturally lit spaces to encourage creative work. They have established a dynamic culture of digital learning where students can produce and exchange ideas.
