Carlson School of Management History                                       

Carlson School of Management also known as Curtis L. Carlson School of Management is an American business school part of the University of Minnesota located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The school was established in 1919 and adopted its present name in 1986 following a USD 25 million donation from Curtis L. Carlson. The school currently enrols over 4500 students.

Carlson School of Management offers a number of graduate and undergraduate programs in Business in addition to a PhD in Business Administration. At the undergraduate level, the school offers Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in specialisation such as Marketing, Huma Resources, Finance, Accounting, and Strategy to name a few.

Carlson School of Management also offers a full-time MBA program in addition to an Executive MBA and a number of Masters Degrees in Accountancy, Applied Business Analytics, Business Taxation, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.

Carlson School of Management is based on two buildings including the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management Building and Herbert M. Hanson, Jr. Hall overlooking the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The school buildings house modern teaching facilities in addition to faculty offices, administrative blocks, 180-seat lecture hall, and a 250-seat auditorium.

Carlson School of Management offers a range of facilities to students which include classrooms and lecture halls, library, halls of residence, group study rooms, learning resource center and IT suites in addition to sports facilities, experiential learning laboratories, teleconferencing and video interview capabilities, restaurant and cafe, and student lounges.

Carlson School of Management is also ranked 32nd globally for its MBA program by the Economist. The Financial Times ranks the school 81st globally for its MBA program. In the national MBA rankings, the school is ranked 15th by US News and World Report, and 27th by Forbes and US News and World Report.
