The below information is required while
completing the university application :
Applicants must have completed a recognized upper-secondary education diploma that allows access to higher education in their home country. Examples accepted include the International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate.
International students must obtain an official equivalence of their secondary school diploma issued by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (French Community of Belgium). Applications without this equivalence may not be considered.
For applicants with diplomas from outside the European Union, a minimum academic average of about 13/20 (around 65%) is generally required for admission to bachelor’s programs.
Non-EU applicants must usually have obtained their secondary school diploma within the last three academic years prior to the admission year.
Since many undergraduate programs are taught in French, students are generally required to demonstrate sufficient proficiency in French (often around B2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference).
Some programs may require additional courses, entrance exams, or prerequisites, particularly in fields such as engineering or medicine.

In 2021, UCLouvain researchers at the Mons campus participated in European collaborative projects focusing on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital media literacy. One of these initiatives involves the development of cyber-range training environments that simulate real cyberattacks to train professionals and students in cybersecurity skills. These projects aim to improve digital resilience and security in modern organizations.
In 2020, researchers at the Mons campus expanded studies in digital marketing, e-commerce, and consumer behavior. These research projects focus on improving immersive online shopping experiences and analyzing how consumers interact with digital platforms. Scholars also work on creating eco-responsible recommendation systems to promote sustainable consumption in online retail, contributing to innovations in marketing analytics and digital commerce.
