The Student Union takes on work, events and projects for the improvement of the life of students. The university also offers events like Welcome Events, Autumn Sports Day, DE Stress Week, International Cultural Festival and many more. Student safety is a paramount priority for the University and emergency fire drills and evacuation drives are conducted to keep students aware and alert at all times. The crime rate around the university campuses and the housing is very relatively low and both Budapest and Budapest are regarded as safe cities in Europe. Career Support

Central European University Budapest offers assistance to all students to help them gain employment during and after their studies. Career counselling helps students to choose the best job available for them on or off campus. The vacant positions may include casual work, summer work experience and internships. International Students can only work 20 hours a week during term-time. If the holidays are on, they are allowed to work 40 hours per week as per the rules set by the government.
