Central University of Chile History                                       

Central University of Chile colloquially known as UCEN and Universidad Central de Chile is a Chilean higher education establishment located in Santiago. The university is privately held and was established in 1982. It currently enrols over 12000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Central University of Chile Programs, Courses, and Schools

Central University of Chile comprises of six faculties offering a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in Architecture, Landscape Design, Civil Engineering, Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy and Government, and Communications.

Central University of Chile also offers programs in Education, Physical Education, Social Sciences, secondary Education, Law, Social Work, Healthcare Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Pedagogy.

Central University of Chile Campuses

Central University of Chile is based across four campuses in the Chilean capital city of Santiago totalling over 80000 square meters of area. The university’s main campus is located right outside the Metro Station with excellent connectivity to the rest of the city. The university also runs two smaller campuses in La Serena and Antofagasta.

Central University of Chile offers a range of facilities for students which include ultra modern teaching facilities with audio visual connectivity, sports centre, recreational spaces, cafes and restaurants, and halls of residence in addition to libraries, laboratories, engineering labs, and student support services.

Central University of Chile Achievements

Central University of Chile is ranked amongst top 300 universities in the Latin American region in LatAm University Rankings published by QS Top Universities. The university was rated highly for its International Research Network by QS.

Central University of Chile has also received institutional accreditation from the National Accreditation Commission of Chile and is ranked 26th nationally by UniRank university rankings.

Central University of Chile USP

Central University of Chile also houses the country’s first community college established in conjunction with LaGuardia Community College of City University of New York. The university also offers scholarships and tuition fee assistance programs for meritorious students.

Central University of Chile also partners with a number of institutions abroad including University of Applied Sciences of Dusseldorf, Uppsala University, City University of New York, University of Genoa, and National School of Architecture and Landscape of Bordeaux to facilitate international exchange programs.
