Central University of Finance and Economics History

Central University of Finance and Economics was established in the year 1949. It is a national university which is situated in Beijing in China. It has gone through the series of name changes from Central School of Taxation to Central Institute of Finance to Central Institute of Finance and Economics to Central Institute of Finance and Banking to its present name.

Central University of Finance and Economics Programs, Courses and Schools

Central University of Finance and Economics comprises of 17 schools, three institutes, two centres and three academies. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Other courses offered include research, study abroad, continuing education, language course, e-learning and postdoctoral.

It is the home to more than 1700 faculties and most of them are qualified from the renowned universities of the world. It has more than 15,000 students admitted who are trained to the expert level for the professional world. It also teaches key disciplinary courses which are honoured by Ministry of Education.

Central University of Finance and Economics has urban campus with modern infrastructure and natural surroundings. Students are offered with amenities like cafeteria, sports arena, swimming pool, athletic courts, recreational area, cultural centre, halls, multipurpose rooms, student support centre, language centre and auditorium. There are student clubs and associations which helps in enhancing student’s skills and personalities. Journals are published by the university.

University library is the digital unit stocked with books, magazines, journals, research guides, periodicals, publications, catalogues and theses. Computer systems, e-resources, tutorials, projected study rooms, training rooms, help desk, borrowing services and printing access are available.

Centre for World University Rankings has ranked it among the top 300 universities of the country. It is the no.1 university in mainland China according to Research Centre for China Science Evaluation. It has been ranked no.1 in China for its Applied Economics by Ministry of Education.

Financial assistance is offered to the students in the form of scholarships and grants. Scholarships are sponsored through various sources like government, university and other institutions.
