CentraleSupelec Background
CentraleSupelec was founded in 1894 in Paris before moving its campus to Gif-sur-Yvette where it has its main campus now. With two more campuses in Rennes and Metz established in 1972 & 1985 it became one of France’s top Engineering institutions. In 2015 it merged with Ecole Centrale Paris to form CentraleSupelec France.
CentraleSupelec Programs and Courses
CentraleSupelec offers a various course in Engineering, Research & innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship. It also offers various options in international development with opportunities to study and work with various international universities. It has agreements with more than 70 foreign universities in 30 countries.
CentraleSupelec Rankings and USP
CentraleSupelec is highly ranked for its offerings. It has remained in the top 5 Engineering schools in France. It stands 4th in the world in its Master’s program in Data Sciences & Business Analytics. A research cited that CentraleSupelec Graduates are highest paid engineers in France. CentraleSupelec has more than 2000 students with 460 engineering degrees, 6 specialized Master programs and 250 Doctoral candidates. It has 130 full-time faculty, 650 part-time teachers and 14 research labs.
CentraleSupelec Achievements
CentraleSupelec is considered one of the premier institutes for research and is a member of two Advanced Research Thematic Networks working on public-private research initiatives. In 2008 it had invested more than Euro 8million on research working with partner companies. The university has strong industry partnerships and students are required to complete hands-on internships during their years of studies. Some of the industry partners include Accenture, HP, BNP Paribas & Capgemini.
CentraleSupelec Campuses
Student housing and recreation is available on campus and has both domestic and international students. Gif-sur Yvette is the biggest and the main campus with the other two in Rennes and Metz.

Some of the notable CentraleSupelec alumni include Henri Chretien-Astronomer & inventor, Thierry Breton-Minister of Economy, Finance & industry, Pierre Boullle -French Novelist and Herve Laborne -President of CentraleSupelec.
