The Vierimaantie Campus is home to a large number of part-time Finnish students. Ylivieska has a lot of research and development going on. International undergraduate applicants must possess a high school diploma or a vocational qualification in order to be admitted to Centria University of Applied Sciences.     Production technology

    Their largest facility, Robo3D Lab, is located in Ylivieska, but they also work in Pietarsaari and Kokkola. With development environments for 3D design, 3D printing, drone production, modeling, simulation, and i4.0-type integrated CNC manufacturing, Robo3D facility is the biggest robotics facility in Northern Finland. Kokkola offers mobile robots for internal demonstrations as well as a flexible fleet of collaborative robotics (COBOT) devices. Their technology transfer initiatives are currently being extended to the Ostrobothnia region by the Pietarsaari team. With a lengthy history of machine learning in production, Centria has reinforced AI research across all departments.
