Cergy Pontoise University also known as UCP was established in 1991 in the city of Paris, France. It is a public university along with 17 other national universities located in the Paris area. The university welcomes 17,000+ full-time and study abroad students every year.

Cergy Pontoise University offers 144 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate degrees in a wide array of faculties. The courses include Law, Management, Economics, Languages, Social Sciences, Science and Technology, and Literature.

Cergy Pontoise University has a one-of-its-kind law course in partnership with the University of Dusseldorf covering both German and French laws. The course is open only 30 students from both universities, which provides them the degree of law from both the countries subsequently freedom to practice law in both countries.
