University History

Charles Sturt University is located in Melbourne, Australia. The University history dates back to the year 1895 when it was founded as the Bathurst experiment farm. In 1989, two regional institutions in south-western and western NSW merged to form the Charles Sturt University under the Charles Sturt University Act 1989. The University is named after one of the most important figures of Australia, Charles Napier Sturt. Over the years, the University has established many campuses in various parts of Australia.
