Fill out the application via the LSAC website. This is your entry point into the process
2. LSAC LL.M. Credential Assembly Service (CAS) Report
All transcripts and academic records—whether from India or elsewhere—must go through LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service. This service compiles your academic history and translates documents as needed.
3. Transcripts and Degree Certifications
Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. If your documents aren't in English, include certified translations. For international applicants, the LSAC CAS will handle this evaluation.
4. Letters of Recommendation
Provide at least two letters of recommendation. One should ideally come from a law faculty member, lawyer, or judge. Use the LSAC Letter of Recommendation service to submit these.
5. Personal Statement
Craft a personal statement that offers insight into your motivations, experiences, and aspirations. This is your chance to stand out and explain why you're a strong fit for the program.
6. Current Resume
Include an up-to-date resume detailing your academic background, work experience, and any relevant activities. This helps the admissions committee assess your professional journey.
7. TOEFL Score (For International Applicants)
If English isn't your native language or wasn't the medium of instruction at your previous institution, you'll need to submit TOEFL scores. Ensure your scores are sent directly to LSAC using code 0058.
8. J.D. or Equivalent Law Degree
Applicants should hold a J.D. from an ABA-approved law school. International applicants must have a law degree equivalent to a U.S. J.D., subject to approval by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
