Chatham University's history started in 1869 as the Pennsylvania Female College. Reverend William Trimble Beatty founded it. Pennsylvania College for Women was renamed in 1890 and Chatham College in 1955. It gained University status and power in 2007 from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and was renamed Chatham University.

Chatham University's housing team has beautiful room facilities and plenty of student housing services. So many residence halls are available on campus where students can live and enjoy the memorable time of their student life. The rooms of the residence halls and apartments are completely furnished.
