Required Application Materials

High School Transcript: Official transcript required from all applicants. 

Application Fee: $60 (with possible waivers for eligible applicants such as Teacher Cadets). 

Test Scores

SAT/ACT: Not required, but optional and strongly recommended for students who wish to strengthen their application. 

Typical Score Ranges (middle 50%):

SAT: 1150–1290

ACT: 26–31 

Superscoring Policy: College uses highest section scores across all submitted SAT dates. 

Academic Profile

Many admitted students have a weighted GPA in the 3.7–4.8 range depending on residency status. 

According to College Board’s BigFuture:

68% of students have a GPA of 3.75+, 16% between 3.50–3.74, 9% between 3.25–3.49, and the rest lower. 

Curriculum Expectations

Completion of a college-preparatory curriculum, typically including:

4 years of English and math

3 sciences (lab-based)

3–4 years of foreign language

Electives across social studies and the arts.

Holistic Review

The admissions office considers:

Rigor of coursework

Essays (supplemental), extracurriculars, letters of recommendation (optional), and leadership roles.

Acceptance Rate: Approximately 72–76%.
