College of Southern Nevada was founded in the year 1971 as a public college in the US. The college offers degree and certificates programs at the campus in Las Vegas, Nevada.  CSN has other campuses in North La Vegas, Henderson, and other centers in and around Southern Nevada area.

The College offers over 180 certificate and degree programs in 90 areas of study with 24 programs offered online. Some of the famous programs offered at CSN are Business, Sciences, Psychology, Health Sciences, Criminal Justice, and Hospitality. These programs are taught at schools of Advanced and Applied Technologies; Arts and Letters; Business, Hospitality and Public Services; Education; Behavioral and Social Sciences; Health Sciences; and Science and Mathematics

Nearly 9,000 students are enrolled at the college for Full-time Programs. The student-faculty ratio is 23:1. 450 students from 40 countries add diversity to the campus. The college is least selective with an acceptance rate of 100%.

There are various club, activities, and organizations for students to participate.  The athletics team is a member of the NJCAA. The home team Coyote is a national baseball champion.
