Founded on October 20, 1972, and opened to 88 students on March 20, 1973, the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito is a private, specialized engineering university in Bogotá. Named after the eminent astronomer Julio Garavito, it focuses on engineering excellence and technical-humanistic education.
