Official Transcripts

You’ll need official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities. DSU requires these to verify that you’ve completed your undergraduate degree and to evaluate your academic performance. Transcripts must be sent directly from your institution or in a sealed envelope if submitted physically. GPA, courses taken, and grading scale are all considered during admission, and they help the admissions committee determine whether you meet program prerequisites. International students must provide transcripts translated into English by a certified translator.

2. Statement of Purpose (SOP)

A Statement of Purpose explains why you want to pursue a Master’s degree, your career goals, and why DSU is the right fit for you. This document is crucial because it helps the admissions committee understand your motivations, professional aspirations, and how your background aligns with the program. A strong SOP should reflect your academic achievements, relevant work experience, and how you plan to contribute to the university community.

3. Letters of Recommendation

Typically, DSU requires 2–3 letters of recommendation from professors, employers, or supervisors who can speak about your academic capabilities and professional potential. These letters help the admissions team gauge your readiness for graduate-level work, your work ethic, and interpersonal skills. For international applicants, letters from academic advisors or supervisors familiar with your field are preferred.

4. Resume / Curriculum Vitae (CV)

A detailed resume or CV is often required to provide a snapshot of your academic and professional experience. Include internships, projects, research work, certifications, and any relevant extracurricular achievements. This helps the committee evaluate your practical experience and how it complements your academic profile. Highlight skills related to the program you are applying for, such as IT, cybersecurity, or data analytics, depending on your field of study.
