Dalian University of Technology History
The Dalian University of Technology also known as DUT is a public research university situated in the city of Dalian, Liaoning Province in China. The university was established in 1949 as Dalian University which was eventually split into Dalian Institute of Technology and Dalian Medical University. Dalian Institute of Technology was eventually renamed to the Dalian University of Technology in 1988.

The Dalian University of Technology offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in over 21 disciplines such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanics, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Environmental Engineering, and Management.
The Dalian University of Technology is also home to three laboratories of national importance catering to the researchers and the academic community. These are State Key Laboratory of Structural Analysis for Industrial Equipment, State Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, and State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals. The university also offers Ph.D. programs in subjects like Hydraulic Engineering, Naval Architecture, and Ocean Engineering.

The Dalian University of Technology has two campuses – Dalian and Panjin, both located in Liaoning Province in China. The Dalian campus is spread over an area of 4550 acres and is home to numerous sports grounds, faculties, administrative buildings, hospital, gym, and a sports stadium. The Lingxi Library provides access to a number of digital and print resources.
The Dalian University of Technology has another campus in Panjin which is smaller than the main campus in Dalian. The Panjin campus also offers state-of-the-art facilities like lecture theatres, classrooms, computer labs, and sports facilities to the students.
