DePaul University has a significant investment in its physical plant and believes that the strategic location of its facilities has been an important factor in its success in pursuing its urban educational mission. The facilities are kept in good operational condition through a systematic process that plans cyclical repair and replacement of major building components. The Lincoln Park campus consists of more than 45 buildings comprising approximately 2.4 million square feet, and the campus also leases 86,000 square feet of retail space to various tenants. The Loop campus consists of three interconnected and one adjacent building of over 1.3 million square feet, including 222,000 square feet of space leased to the City of Chicago and another 25,000 square feet leased to various tenants. The Theatre School operates the Merle Reskin Theatre, located on Balbo Drive between Michigan and Wabash Avenues, and the university leases an additional 146,000 square feet of space in the Loop to house core administrative functions.

DePaul offers a number of university resources and services to support students, including campus and community resources for students seeking medical help, counseling services, sexual and relationship abuse and assault services, immigration services and advocacy, LGBTQ support, housing, and DePaul mentoring programs. Survivor Support Advocates (SSA) in the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) provide students, faculty, and staff with a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to receive emotional support and explore options, connecting university community members with services such as on- and off-campus resources, confidential counseling, emergency housing and housing accommodations, legal and law enforcement options, medical assistance, university student conduct processes, employment accommodations for on-campus positions, safety planning including FERPA blocks, and accommodations related to academic, living, transportation, and working situations if requested and reasonably available. The Office of Health Promotion and Wellness aims to empower the DePaul community to embrace a healthy lifestyle, and it is also the liaison to the AMITA Sage Medical Group for health services
DePaul University cultivates a vibrant campus life with a wide range of opportunities for student engagement and involvement. Students can participate in events and join organizations such as the Commuter Advisory Board, Blue Crew, DePaul Cycling, Hillel, Latinos Unidos, Student Government Association (SGA), and the Transfer Student Union, among many others. The university's Office of Student Involvement aims to create communities where everyone belongs through a myriad of programs and services, including student organizations, fraternity and sorority life, leadership development, and community service opportunities. The Lincoln Park campus is situated in a live music hub with jazz clubs and leading rock venues, and the neighborhood also features some of the best local bookstores, boutiques, and restaurants in the nation. In a typical year, approximately 2,500 students live on the Lincoln Park Campus, which is home to five colleges, the main library, numerous residence halls, a student center, and the Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreation Center.

DePaul University offers a variety of on-campus housing options for its students. Students can live in one of the university's 11 residence halls or in an apartment nearby, with the Lincoln Park Campus being home to numerous residence halls including dedicated first-year communities, upper-class apartments, and themed living-learning communities. In a typical year, approximately 2,500 students live on the Lincoln Park Campus, which also includes a student center, Brownstone's coffee shop, and the Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreation Center as part of the residential experience. All Lincoln Park residents are automatically billed the health services fee to their DePaul Student Account as part of their housing bill, and the DePaul Student Health Center is available for use exclusively by students living in DePaul University Housing.

DePaul Public Safety maintains a peaceful and safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors through 24-hour emergency phone and alarm devices, 24-hour security patrols, late-night transport and escort services, security lighting, prevention and awareness programs, on-campus public safety officers, video cameras, and smoke detectors in residence halls. DePaul Public Safety can be reached 24/7 at the Lincoln Park Campus (773-325-7777) and the Loop Campus (312-362-8400), and for emergencies, students are advised to call 911. The university also provides survivor support services including legal and law enforcement options such as orders of protection and no-contact orders, safety planning including FERPA blocks, and accommodations related to academic, living, transportation, and working situations. University Counseling and Psychological Services (UCAPS) offers confidential counseling support available at both the Lincoln Park Campus (773-325-CARE) and the Loop Campus (312-362-6923).

The DePaul Career Center inspires excitement about the future and empowers DePaul students to own and shape their personal and professional journeys by helping them build confidence, explore possibilities, participate in career experiences, and become career ready. Students can explore potential career paths and career skills, meet with a career coach to discuss how their passions, skills, and academic interests match a variety of careers, and earn academic credit for their job or internship through 2- and 4-credit Career & Life Design courses. Handshake is DePaul's hub for job and internship listings, career event registration, on-campus interview information, and scheduling meetings with career advisors, and students can access it using their Campus Connect credentials. The Career Center also offers Big Interview, an online platform that helps students and alumni learn how to answer the most common interview questions and practice by industry, and the Career Closet provides free professional and business casual clothing to students and alumni. DePaul MBA and MS Business students and alumni are serviced by the Kellstadt Career Management Center, while Law students and alumni are served by Law Career Services.
