Donghua University History

Donghua University, is a public university located in Shanghai, China. It was established in the year 1951, Donghua University was originally named East China Institute of Textile Technology. In September 1985 it was changed to its name to China Textile University and later it renamed again as Donghua University in 1999.

Donghua University, offers 54 undergraduate programs, 59 master’s programs, 30 doctorate programs, and 5 postdoctoral research programs. The University also has 13 colleges and schools. The University has more than 1297 academic staff including 14,664 undergraduate students and 5337 postgraduate students.

Donghua University Campuses

Donghua University has two campuses. The one campus is at Changning District and the second one is at Songjiang District in Shanghai. In Songjiang District, more bachelor courses are been held. The University has a library on campus. The University has ample of facilities on campus for the students.

Donghua University Achievements

Donghua University, Students Wang Jiefei and Tang Wanhui from the Fashion Art Design Institute of Donghua University (DHU) were awarded prizes respectively for their outstanding works. Donghua University (DHU) won 4 awards, i.e., 3-second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award and 1-second prize of State Technological Invention Award.
