Established in 1970, the Douglas College is a public college located in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. It has two major campuses in Metro Vancouver (New Westminster and Coquitlam) as well as several smaller training centres in Surrey, Burnaby and Maple Ridge.

Douglas College comprises of six faculties: Faculty of Child, Family and Community Studies; Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration; Faculty of Health Sciences; Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Faculty of Language, Literature and Performing Arts; and Faculty of Science and Technology. Douglas offers the most bachelor’s degrees and post-degree programs of any college in B.C., and is noted for combining the academic foundations of a university with the career-ready skills of a college. Douglas supports applied research across a broad range of disciplines, like information technology, chemistry, history, anthropology, and geography.
The total student population at the Douglas College is more than 23,800 students of which over 3,000 are international students. The student to faculty ratio at the college is 27:1.
Recent additions to the bachelor roster of Douglas College include the BA in Performing Arts which is done in partnership with Capilano University, Langara College and Vancouver Community College as well as a BA in Psychology done in partnership with Thompson Rivers University. Many of its students are in university transfer programs wherein they complete up to two years of degree-level courses then switching on to the British Columbia's major research institutions such as the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria.
