Dublin City University History

Dublin City University is located on the North side of Dublin, Ireland. It was created as the National Institute for Higher Education, in 1975, the title "Dublin City University" was chosen and it was approved by the Dublin City University Act of 1989. The early focus of the institution was, on science and technology, although it was, a large business school. It has developed a presence also in the performing arts and in the humanities.

Dublin City University is offering a number of Merit Scholarships to International Students from NON-EU countries. The Scholarship Programme is funded by Dublin City University International Office. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, International Applicants must be in receipt of a 'Full' or 'Conditional' Offer at either Undergraduate or Postgraduate Level.  DCU International will assess applications on merit but will also take a complete approach throughout the assessment.
