Founded in 1971 as the European Business School, EBS is the oldest private business school in Germany. Since its transition to university status in 2011 following the establishment of its Law School in 2010, it now operates as a comprehensive institution with three schools—Business, Law, and Executive Education.

Applicants need a recognised secondary school certificate equivalent to the German Abitur. They also complete an online logical/math test, a personality test, and a personal interview.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 180 ECTS. They must demonstrate English proficiency (at least B2 or higher), and submit scores from GMAT, GRE, EBSgrad, or CAT; followed by interviews.
EBS operates a rolling admissions process, but early submissions—typically by late May (fall intake) or mid‑October (spring intake)—are encouraged for visa planning and available funding.
