Application Process & Deadlines
Applicants may use either the Elizabethtown College application or the Common Application. Admissions are made on a rolling basis, though the regular deadline is April 1 each year. Early applicants—often submitted before January—are encouraged.
Academic Prerequisites
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited high school, completed an equivalent state program, or met homeschool standards. Core academic preparation includes:
4 years of English
3 years of mathematics
2+ years each of science, foreign language, and history/social studies
Holistic Application Requirements
Admission evaluation considers:
High school transcripts and GPA (average admitted GPA ~3.67)
Letters of recommendation (typically at least one encouraged)
Writing samples or personal statements
Extracurricular involvement and community service
Standardized Testing
The SAT or ACT is optional and considered if submitted, but no longer required.
