Fisk encourages applying during Early Action or Early Action II, because scholarship consideration is highest during those cycles. Regular Decision may have limited space and limited funds.

Is there a deposit required to confirm admission and housing for international students?

Yes. International students must pay a housing deposit and an enrollment deposit. The I-20 and housing paperwork will not be issued or processed until these fees and required documents are submitted.

Admitted international students must submit bank statements (certified, recent) showing financial capacity to support costs. They also often need affidavits of support, and documentation from sponsors if applicable.

What does the I-20 process involve?

After admission, international applicants must submit all required financial documents, passport copy, proof of English proficiency, pay deposits (enrollment & housing), etc. Once Fisk’s Office of Global Initiatives completes its review, the I-20 is issued. ◆Note: having an I-20 does not guarantee that a U.S. Embassy will issue a visa.

What must international students do to maintain legal visa status while studying?

Students must enroll full-time (12 credits undergrad / 9 credits graduate), maintain attendance and academic good standing, and follow guidelines given by the Office of Global Initiatives and Campus Safety. They must also complete orientation and abide by US immigration and university regulations.
