What are the main campus locations for Fontys in Eindhoven?

The main Fontys locations in Eindhoven are the Nexus building on the TU/e campus and the campus at Rachelsmolen. The Nexus building is open from 07:30 to 22:00 on Mondays and Thursdays, and until 18:15 on other weekdays, though hours may change during holidays .

What facilities are available for food and parking on campus?

On campus, you can get food and drinks at the coffee corners and food squares, with vegetarian and vegan options always available. If you come by car, parking is available at all locations for a fee of €0.50 per quarter hour (max €7.50 per day) on the TU/e campus, though it is free on open days .

What are the application deadlines for international students?

The application deadlines depend on when you want to start and whether you need housing assistance. Non-EU students need to apply by 15 June for the September intake and 15 November for the February intake, while EU students have until 15 June or 15 December respectively if they want Fontys to arrange accommodation .

What are the English language requirements for admission?

All programmes at Dutch higher educational institutes require a minimum English proficiency level of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80. You can visit the specific study programme page for its exact requirements as they may differ per programme .

What scholarships are available for non-EU students at Fontys?

Fontys offers the Top Talent Scholarship for non-EU/EEA students valued at €1,600 per year covering undergraduate tuition fees. Students must achieve at least a 75% score on science-related subjects in secondary school and receive notification excellent (A) at the end of every academic year to keep the scholarship for subsequent years .

How can I pay my tuition fees?

You can pay via digital authorisation either all at once or in ten equal instalments through Studielink. Fontys provides a Tuition Fees Indicator to help determine the rate applicable to you, with statutory fees for those who satisfy all requirements regarding nationality and who have not yet been awarded a degree .

Does Fontys help students find accommodation?

Yes, Fontys offers a service to provide students with assistance in securing suitable furnished accommodation for the first period of their studies. Rooms range from standard furnished student rooms (€325-€450) to semi-studios (€450-€600) in Eindhoven, but they can only guarantee housing for a limited number of students .

When is the deadline to apply for accommodation through Fontys?

The deadline to fill in the accommodation application form is 8 December 2025 for the Spring 2026 semester. Only students who meet all the requirements before the deadline will be considered for housing through Fontys .

Can I stay in the Netherlands after graduation to find a job?

Yes, after completing your study successfully, the Dutch government offers an orientation year residence permit which allows you to stay another year in the Netherlands to find a job. The permit is valid until three months after the expected end date of your study programme .

Who applies for my visa if I am a non-EU student?

For non-EU/EEA students requiring a visa, Fontys University of Applied Sciences works with the Dutch Immigration & Naturalisation Service (IND) and applies for your Entry Visa (MVV) and Residence Permit (VVR) on your behalf. The IND usually processes an application in 2–3 weeks .
