Between 2018 and 2024, FNU was recognized with 24 first or second state-level prizes for teaching achievements. The university developed 54 state-level first-class undergraduate courses and compiled 30 textbooks included in major national development programs, with one receiving the Special Prize of the National Excellent Textbook Award.
FNU students achieved remarkable success in state-level competitions such as the “Challenge Cup” and the “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, securing Grand Prizes, Gold Prizes, and First Prizes. Furthermore, three doctoral theses from FNU were selected among China’s Top 100 outstanding doctoral dissertations.
FNU researchers secured over 100 state-sponsored research projects and more than 3,000 ministerial and provincial projects. The university received approximately 700 awards, including 16 of China's most prestigious national awards: the State Science Award, the State Technological Invention Award, and the State Technological Progress Award.
In 2023, FNU developed a method for reading complex amplitude information from a single diffraction image without interference or iteration. This innovation enhances applications in holographic storage, biomedical imaging, and microscopic imaging.
FNU patented a method in 2021 that utilizes matrix operations to modify mobile social network graphs, improving the analysis and optimization of social networks.
In 2020, FNU introduced a technique employing surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectroscopy to detect and analyze urine-modified nucleosides, aiding in the early diagnosis of certain diseases.
