Glasgow Caledonian University was placed first in the UK for social work, third for animation and game design, and in the top 10 for marketing and public relations (first in Scotland), hospitality, event management, and tourism in the most recent edition of the Guardian University Guide. In the most recent People and Planet league table (2024), we were placed #1 in Scotland for sustainability and are the only university in Scotland to get EcoCampus Platinum accreditation. No other modern Scottish university can match Glasgow Caledonian's research quality (72%), which is regarded as world-leading or internationally excellent. King's College London is the only university to surpass Glasgow Caledonian's health research in terms of impact, and all of our communications, culture, and media research is rated as having an outstanding or very considerable impact (REF2021).
