Candidates for this undergraduate program must be foreign nationals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a valid passport, be in excellent health, and be prepared to abide by Chinese laws, university policies, and customs; (2) Those with a high school diploma may apply to this undergraduate program; (3) Candidates with specializations in Chinese literature, Chinese history, and Chinese philosophy must pass HSK-level 4; those with other specializations must pass HSK-level 3. The university may administer a language test to determine an applicant's level of Chinese proficiency if they do not possess HSK passing credentials. A 1-2 year trial study is open to those with a particular level of Chinese proficiency.
