On 1 September 1909, Hanken School of Economics was founded in Helsinki, Finland. It is one of the oldest Business Schools in Finland. It offers a wide variety of programs in two languages, English and Swedish. In 1927, the institution was given its current name. In 1944, the Hanken School of Economics was awarded its first doctoral degree.
